Whether you're a complete beginner or just looking for a truly unique experience, our cheese making classes are the perfect way to slow down, get your hands a little milky, and walk away with something delicious you made yourself.

Located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee β€” just 30 miles southeast of Nashville β€” Standing Stone Farms has been teaching home cheese makers since 2008. Our workshops are small, hands-on, and genuinely fun. No experience necessary. Just bring your curiosity (and your appetite).

What You'll Make

Depending on the class, you'll make some combination of fresh Mozzarella, Burrata, Ricotta, Butter, and Cultured Butter β€” plus take home recipes for Cream Cheese, ChΓ¨vre, and Queso Blanco. Every workshop includes tastings, tips, and plenty of β€œI can’t believe I just made that” moments.

Choose Your Experience

  • πŸ§€ Beginner Demonstration Class (2–3 hours) β€” Watch, learn, and taste. Perfect for groups who want an introduction to the art of cheese making without rolling up their sleeves.
  • πŸ§€ Hands-On Cheese Making Workshop (4–5 hours) β€” You make it, you eat it. Small groups of 8–10, fully hands-on, and absolutely delicious.
  • πŸ§€ Private & Corporate Workshops β€” Available any day of the week, in our space or yours. Perfect for date nights, birthday parties, team building, and special events. Groups of any size welcome.

  • Classes run September through Thanksgiving, then February through May
  • Saturday classes plus special date night events
